Newbold College of Higher Education
Bracknell, Berkshire

Newbold College sits on a beautiful, safe green campus surrounded by Berkshire countryside with easy access to Oxford and London and bus links to Bracknell station. Newbold College of Higher Education is home to three halls of residence. Sports facilities include a gym equipped for sports such as basketball, volleyball, floorball and badminton. The campus also has an outdoor football pitch.

The Neighbourhood

The college is situated in the village of Binfield, Bracknell which is a ten minute bus ride away from Bracknell train station. Bracknell has easy train links to central London and is 50 minutes to Clapham Junction which is one stop from Victoria station. It is also quite close to Windsor, Reading and Oxford as well as tourist attractions such as Thorpe Park and Lego land.

The Accommodation

Students can stay in comfortable single rooms with desks and wardrobes and a shared Jack and Jill ensuite bathroom which can be accessed by two single rooms either side. Rooms are arranged in girls or boy’s accommodation blocks around the college campus and students have access to common rooms and receive free Wi-Fi. The accommodation is also
a short walk to the classrooms.

The Food

We offer full board accommodation and a
continental breakfast is served daily as well as lunch and dinner in the campus canteen. The food is a mixture of typical British dishes and
international cuisine with a vegetarian option and a provision for allergies.
Newbold prides itself on promoting healthy eating so students are offered a diverse menu.

The Activities

A Language in Action activity is an activity during which time students are actively integrated and engaged with native English speakers and
their environment. We off er different campus based as well as excursion based activities that encourage students to practise their spoken
English and improve confidence. As with all our courses students learn the language in the classroom and use it in action outside the classroom.

The College

Formerly a stately home, this college now hosts students from around the world and has a dedicated English language library, ample sports facilities which include an indoor sports hall and is set in beautiful parklands in Binfield, Bracknell just 45 minutes by train to London. It has excellent public transport links but offers the safety of a non-central London location whilst being in easy access to London for day trips and excursions. Bracknell offers a thriving local community with a shopping centre set in some of  Britain’s most beautiful countryside.
