Stanborough has students from about fourty different countries and has been operating since 1940. It sits on a beautiful safe campus surrounded by country-side. There is an entertainment lounge, equipped with DVD/projector
facilities with surround-sound. A study lounge is also available with internet-equipped computer stations as well as a sports field and gym.
The Neighbourhood
Easy links to London. The college is situated in Watford which is a 20 minute train ride away from Euston train station, London.
Watford is also home to Watford Football Club which is famously supported by Elton John.



The Accommodation
Comfortable living space is offered in each of the 34 bedrooms. Boarders are accommodated in double or triple rooms each offering built-in wardrobes, desks and en-suite facilities. Many of the rooms offer woodland views over Stanborough Park. Girls and boys have separate floor corridors and junior and senior students are preferably accommodated in separate rooms to allow a better studying environment.



The Food
We offer full board accommodation and a continental breakfast is served daily as well as lunch and dinner in the campus canteen. The food is a mixture of typical British dishes and
international cuisine with a vegetarian option and a provision for allergies.
Stanborough prides itself on promoting healthy eating so students are offered a diverse menu.
The Activities
The Language in Action activity programme is focused on London and jam packed with exciting tours and visits to Londons most famous attractions including a ride on the London Eye and entrance to Madame Tussauds. Students will have the chance to explore everything this wonderful city has to offer and will also have time to get to know the local area.



The School
This course is designed to perfect students speaking skills, prepare for an external Trinity speaking exam and to give international high school students an opportunity to experience
a real British high school and to allow them to socialise with British students in order to practise their English in real life situations. We can also offer the opportunity for students to
study English for a full academic year in a full immersion programme or just for a week. Students will participate in the campus social programme as well as go on cultural tours and excursions in and around London, Oxford,
Windsor and Cambridge. Each week students will receive 15 hours of
English and at least one integrated Language in Action activity per week.

The Activities
A language in Action in activity is an activity during which time students are actively integrated and engaged with native English speakers and their environment. We offer different campus based as well as excursion based activities that encourage students to practise their spoken English and improve confidence. As with all our courses students learn the language in the classroom and use it in action outside the classroom.
